Ho’omau Fire Academy was established in August 2020 to “invest in our youth”.  As members of the Federal Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) we witness a high turnover in our respective professions.  The Academy provides youth with the opportunity to prepare for the Fire Service, EMS, Military and Entrepreneurship.

We currently accept applicants between the ages of 16-24 with exceptions made for older applicants.

We run for 6 consecutive Saturday’s.  There’s additional days that come up from time to time.

We teach – Forcible Entry, Hose Deployment, Hose Advancement and Hose Loads.

We start at 0800 and finish our day with lunch at 1pm.
